Non-profit organization usage
The Vail Theatre of the Arts is available for rental at reduced (Class II) rates to 501(c)(3) organizations. An IRS Determination Letter is required for proof of 501(c)(3) status. Usage must support the non-profit organization’s mission, and users may not charge admission greater than $10 per person. This usage class is not available during the high season (currently defined as the months of May and December). All rentals during the high season are at full Class IV rates.
If your non-profit organization is interested in renting the theatre, please contact Richard Talley at talleyr@vailschooldistrict.org to find out if your desired date is available. If it is, the date will be penciled in and held for you for two weeks so that you can complete the paperwork. Submit a Theatre Use Request form describing your usage and technical requirements. Upon receipt, the Performing Arts Theatre Director will prepare a contract for your signature. Your date will be confirmed when we have received the signed contract, a check for 50% of the total amount due, and a certificate of insurance for $1,000,000 coverage naming the Vail Unified School District as additional insured.
