Vail Laughs

Vail Laughs is based on one simple idea:

Clean comedy for a good price.
Entertainment standards have definitely shifted over the years. As the world keeps moving faster, it takes more energy to get our attention in the noise. Unfortunately, much of our entertainment uses shock value and other cheap antics to get it. It’s almost a celebration of being rude and insulting, bringing the audience down right along with the entertainers.
But life is funny enough without having to be vulgar!
Think about this:

We drive to the gym so we can walk on a treadmill. We carry these high tech devices in our pockets, the knowledge of all the world at our fingertips and we use them to send each other videos of screaming goats. Or the irony of reaching adulthood and discovering our parents actually had a point about naps.

What a strange bunch of creatures we are!

Our award winning comedians are as committed to this ideal as we are, bringing you quality entertainment month after month and leaving behind all the vulgarity and cheap antics.  Quite simply, it’s high quality entertainment you can bring your entire family to. The most important decision you have for the evening is whether to leave the kids or the babysitter at home.

Leslie Barton is a stand-up comic. Since 2009, she has worked her way up the local comedy ladder the old-fashioned way with years of open mics, the occasional feature and headliner, and hosting whenever requested. Leslie hopes to help the world through laughter, and sarcasm. Mostly sarcasm.

Jessica Abrams is an actress, standup comic and writer. Her web series KNOCKING ON DOORS is in its third season (www.knocking-on-doors.com) and garnered accolades at the IndieFest Film Awards, Southern Shorts, and the International Independent Film Awards. She has performed standup in clubs all over the country (and even in Paris, France) and she’s shooting a comedy special this fall. Her full-length play “The Laughing Cow” received Pick of The Week by LA Weekly when it premiered in Los Angeles in 2012 and her play “Happy Returns”, part of the full-length play “The First to Know” was a finalist for the Heideman Award and premiered in the Planting the Seed Fest in Prescott, Arizona. She has also written on The Profiler and Watch Over Me as well as some reality shows only seen when channel-surfing late at night.
