The LaLa: Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?

The LaLa delivers a high-energy, hand-clapping, good time!   This show features a spectrum of music from the Louisiana bayou, featuring music by artists like Fats Domino, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, and Huey Smith.  But it’s more than just Mardi Gras.  The LaLa dives into the roots of Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues with songs by the likes of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Hank Williams.  The lineup is led by pianist/vocalist, Mike Levy, backed up by a top-notch full rhythm section.  Additionally, this show will feature JJA Jazz Award winner, Lamont Arthur, on the B3 organ and Chef Records recording artist Lorenzo Levy on guitar.  Fourteen year old Lorenzo is a child prodigy blues/rock guitarist who’s been gracing Tucson area stages since the age of eleven.  The show is bound to leave you with a smile on your face and tap in your foot!  Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Vail Laughs

Vail Laughs is based on one simple idea:

Clean comedy for a good price.
Entertainment standards have definitely shifted over the years. As the world keeps moving faster, it takes more energy to get our attention in the noise. Unfortunately, much of our entertainment uses shock value and other cheap antics to get it. It’s almost a celebration of being rude and insulting, bringing the audience down right along with the entertainers.
But life is funny enough without having to be vulgar!
Think about this:

We drive to the gym so we can walk on a treadmill. We carry these high tech devices in our pockets, the knowledge of all the world at our fingertips and we use them to send each other videos of screaming goats. Or the irony of reaching adulthood and discovering our parents actually had a point about naps.

What a strange bunch of creatures we are!

Our award winning comedians are as committed to this ideal as we are, bringing you quality entertainment month after month and leaving behind all the vulgarity and cheap antics.  Quite simply, it’s high quality entertainment you can bring your entire family to. The most important decision you have for the evening is whether to leave the kids or the babysitter at home.

Elias Caress

Award Winning Magician and Variety Entertainer is sure to please our audience.  Winner of magician awards and competitions, Elias has an excellent stage show that everyone will love! Amazing magic, thrilling stunts, hilarious jokes, and a lot of hilarious jokes, and a lot of audience participation. Sophisticated enough for the discerning spectator yet fun enough for younger audiences!

What will he do for our clean comedy lovers? Who knows? We don’t. Every show is different depending on his mood and that of the audience:

He might…
Contact juggle
Spin a lasso
Perform expert bullwhip tricks
Show mysterious illusions and tricks
Read someone’s mind
Walking barefoot in broken glass
Laying on a bed of nails

And of course, throw a lot of comedy into the show!

and The Due West Trio

Saturday, September 29 – 7:00 pm

Rena Randall and The Due West Trio

If you remember the music of The Sons of the Pioneers, Roy Rodgers, Gene Autry and other singing cowboys of the silver screen, then you are going to love the music of Rena Randall and The Due West Trio!
Together since the early 90’s and based in Tucson, Arizona, Rena Randall and the Due West Trio performs Western music in rich harmonies. Some of their music is vintage western, some modern western and some fine original tunes all celebrating the American cowboy and his life.
  • Rena Randall is a fifth generation native Tucsonan with a rich pioneer heritage. On stage, Rena plays tenor guitar and three-string and mountain dulcimers. In addition to being a fine songwriter, her vocal abilities and soaring range captivate western music lovers. That “pretty voice” has caused Rusty Richards, former member of the legendary Sons of the Pioneers to declare, “I have definitely become a fan”.
  • David Gibson, raised in Tucson, can also claim a long heritage in Arizona. Dave is a songwriter and a fine instrumentalist, playing stand-up bass, guitar and banjo. These talents, along with a pleasing vocal style in both lead and harmony, make him a valuable asset to the group.
  • Dave Bertoglio, born and raised in Southern California but with 1800’s Arizona Territory family history, offers guitar, harmonica, lead and harmony vocals. He also written some of the group’s songs.
  • Emily Holmes is the newest member of the group. Growing up in northern Utah, she started learning the fiddle at age 10. She toured with the bluegrass band “String Fever” for 12 years playing stand-up bass. Now living in Tucson, she has taken up the fiddle once again and enjoys playing with the Due West Trio.
