Vail Laughs

 Vail Laughs
Vail Laughs is based on one simple idea:

Clean comedy for a good price.
Entertainment standards have definitely shifted over the years. As the world keeps moving faster, it takes more energy to get our attention in the noise. Unfortunately, much of our entertainment uses shock value and other cheap antics to get it. It’s almost a celebration of being rude and insulting, bringing the audience down right along with the entertainers.
But life is funny enough without having to be vulgar!
Think about this:

We drive to the gym so we can walk on a treadmill. We carry these high tech devices in our pockets, the knowledge of all the world at our fingertips and we use them to send each other videos of screaming goats. Or the irony of reaching adulthood and discovering our parents actually had a point about naps.

What a strange bunch of creatures we are!

Our award winning comedians are as committed to this ideal as we are, bringing you quality entertainment month after month and leaving behind all the vulgarity and cheap antics.  Quite simply, it’s high quality entertainment you can bring your entire family to. The most important decision you have for the evening is whether to leave the kids or the babysitter at home.

Michael Deschalit

Michael C Deschallit is an Award Winning Comedy Magician who has performed for over 20 years. His Comedy Magic Show is packed with illusions, audience participation and side splitting humor guaranteed to make you and your guests laugh all night long. Mike is a Multi-Award Winning Magician who has performed all around the globe, from Tucson to Tokyo. He holds all three distinguished awards of Close-Up, Parlor and Stage Magician of the Year. He is a member of The Society of American Magicians, The International Brotherhood of Magicians and The Academy of Magical Arts. Michael provides the magical entertainment to amaze your friends and family. This is one that the kids will love because it is so visual.

Michael’s shows have just the right mix of magic and comedy to keep his audiences amazed and laughing all at the same time. His “tricks” are very visual and include effects like making a bowling ball appear from a blank drawing pad, and watching as Michael becomes a “rap singer” and raps a funny rap song live, all while doing an entertaining card trick that will keep you guessing until the very end. The show culminates with Michael escaping from a regulation straight jacket, in plain view, right before your very eyes, in plain view, so you can see every step of the escape. One thing is for certain… even though he will escape from the torturous device, the audience won’t be able to escape from the hilarious comedy in this show!!!

and The RubberBand

Saturday, February 11th – 7:00 pm

Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband

Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand are an Ogden, Utah based band with roots that draw from country, bluegrass, and even a little rock.

Ryan Shupe is roaring back with “We Rode On”, his latest album.  “We Rode On” marks a striking career transition and a meaningful evolution in Shupe’s songwriting, his life, and the band’s sound.  It strongly and deftly combines the rock side of their musical arsenal with the acoustic instruments and virtuosic jamming the band has become known for in their live shows.  Like a mad musical scientist, Ryan Shupe recorded, arranged and tweaked the band’s newest creation in his personal studio.  “I wanted to create a new sound and an evolution for the band’s music” said Shupe, “It’s the best album we’ve done and definitely the most rocking!”  The album focuses on themes like family, love, and maturity.  The epic title track, “We Rode On” triumphantly belts out the phrase “singing songs at the top of our lungs” while the anthemic “Sun Will Shine Again” is a mantra to Shupe’s children.  The catchy, rocking “If I Stay” and “Just Say Yes” deal with love interest dilemmas.  “Dream Big”, a revamped version of their Billboard charting Capitol Records release, is triumphant, inspirational and powerful.

Being a 5th generation fiddler, an accomplished electric guitar, acoustic guitar and mandolin player, Shupe has been touring extensively across the US since he was 10 years old.  He is no stranger to the national stage and the band has appeared on Good Morning America, E! TV, Mountain Stage, Woodsongs, GAC and CMT.
