Vail Laughs

Vail Laughs is based on one simple idea:

Clean comedy for a good price.
Entertainment standards have definitely shifted over the years. As the world keeps moving faster, it takes more energy to get our attention in the noise. Unfortunately, much of our entertainment uses shock value and other cheap antics to get it. It’s almost a celebration of being rude and insulting, bringing the audience down right along with the entertainers.
But life is funny enough without having to be vulgar!
Think about this:

We drive to the gym so we can walk on a treadmill. We carry these high tech devices in our pockets, the knowledge of all the world at our fingertips and we use them to send each other videos of screaming goats. Or the irony of reaching adulthood and discovering our parents actually had a point about naps.

What a strange bunch of creatures we are!

Our award winning comedians are as committed to this ideal as we are, bringing you quality entertainment month after month and leaving behind all the vulgarity and cheap antics.  Quite simply, it’s high quality entertainment you can bring your entire family to. The most important decision you have for the evening is whether to leave the kids or the babysitter at home.

Paul Green

He’ll jam an improvised jazz solo on the piano or drums and make up a love song on the spot for any girl who wants to feel uncomfortable. He can solve a Rubik’s cube in record time of 3 minutes. He earned a degree in finance to learn how to fund his comedy career. When ordering food, he will randomly break out into song or make sound effects when pulling out his wallet often earning him a free meal or weird looks, either way he considers it a win. He’s yet to get a date using Tinder, but his eternal optimism keeps him swiping right. He’s an introverted, outgoing stand-up comedian who posts cheesy one-liner joke memes on Facebook daily such as this: “I watched a Tony Robbins video on avoiding distractions. I found the video browsing Facebook.” So he’s not only funny, he can be profound!!

Paul welcomes hecklers!   All he asks is that you be loud enough for everybody to hear and that you own your statements and are prepared for the comeback and conversation.  This truly is an intimate evening with one of the most talented comedy artists of our time.  You will be amazed with his humor and quick wit and the finale of the show where he sings a song made up during the course of the show about the show and the audience that helped to make for a great evening of live entertainment.

Elias Caress

Award Winning Magician and Variety Entertainer is sure to please our audience.  Winner of magician awards and competitions, Elias has an excellent stage show that everyone will love! Amazing magic, thrilling stunts, hilarious jokes, and a lot of hilarious jokes, and a lot of audience participation. Sophisticated enough for the discerning spectator yet fun enough for younger audiences!

What will he do for our clean comedy lovers? Who knows? We don’t. Every show is different depending on his mood and that of the audience:

He might…
Contact juggle
Spin a lasso
Perform expert bullwhip tricks
Show mysterious illusions and tricks
Read someone’s mind
Walking barefoot in broken glass
Laying on a bed of nails

And of course, throw a lot of comedy into the show!

Bob Kubota began his career as a stand-up comedian while still a student of journalism at Arizona State University. Encouraged by virtually no one, he honed his particular idea of humor at “open mic nights” sponsored by various saloons and bistros throughout the Greater Phoenix area. Within two years, Bob was “on the bill” for paying customers at legitimate comedy clubs. Only then did he let his parents know that his life dream didn’t include bar exams – just bars.

His penchant for dry wit, lighthearted sarcasm and deciphering life’s ironies has led him to the majority of the contiguous 48 states as well as Alaska and Hawaii. The sly take that he has on his own ethnicity continually proves to be a popular feature of his act. In 1996 he became an international performer when he joined the United Service Organization (USO) and now tours regularly with Armed Forces Entertainment’s BATTLE COMICS (Barnhart Entertainment) providing comic relief to American military troops stationed around the globe.

His television appearances include: Last Comic Standing / The Invitationals 2014 (NBC), An Evening at the Improv (Arts & Entertainment Network), Caroline’s Comedy Hour (A & E), Half Hour Comedy Hour (MTV), Stand-Up Spotlight (VH-1), Funny is Funny (“Si” TV) & Make Me Laugh (Comedy Central). Mr. Kubota is also a world-class exponent of deceptive sleight-of-hand. Do not play cards with him. He currently resides in Phoenix,  where he is spending the rest of his days trying to teach his rescue dog to play golf.

Daniel Hanson will start out the show with “prop” humor. It’s not just what he says that’s funny, it’s what he shows the audience that will have them soaked in their seats with laughter. He has brought laughs to many over the years and has recently started writing for the “Monologue Show with Chris Wineland.” Pursuing his love of comedy, Dan has performed for a wide variety of audiences including churches, camps, clubs, concerts, and other venues.

The host for this fabulous night of comedy is Monte Benjamin. Monte Benjamin is an all around performer, comedian, and actor that’s revolutionizing comedy, Monte’s clean, high-impact, charismatic style of comedy is a breath of fresh air that will have you in tears with laughter! He been taking to the stage for more than 20 years, entertaining countless thousands of people all along the way from Tucson to his hometown of Miami, FL.

He has acted in stage plays and live productions all over the eastern part of the nation!  Monté has performed stand-up in clubs like:  Laff’s Comedy Club, Tucson AZ, Tempe Improv Tempe AZ, Stand Up Live, Phoenix AZ, Oak Leaf Comedy Corner, Jacksonville FL, and New York Comedy Club.
