Free concert – 7:00 p.m.
Under the direction of David Walton, Empire High’s Imperial PANdemic Steel Drum Band engages in various activities and performances both within the school district and throughout the community. The group meets four days a week during zero hour, working up a variety of pieces for upcoming concerts, as well as developing artistic and business knowledge of the music field. The band produces two school concerts each semester and performs at various gigs throughout the school year.
The Imperial PANdemic Steel Band has performed at Academy Village, the Vail School District Office, Oktoberfest, the Manning House, and many other venues. The goals of this group are to advance musically, share art with the community, and develop a greater awareness of various types of world music.
